Creative Direction, Art Direction, Styling & Production Services

1. Core Values
My work is grounded in creativity, professionalism, and respect. These Terms & Conditions ensure clarity and fairness for both parties.

2. Licensing & Legal Compliance
All services are provided under full legal work authorization in Indonesia (KITAS).
It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure that the entire production team (including models, photographers, videographers, crew, and any third-party vendors) hold the correct permits, visas, and licenses required for the project.
If a production is shut down, delayed, or penalized due to missing or incorrect permits, the Producer/ Creative Director/Art Director/Stylist accepts no liability.
In such cases, full payment for services remains due and payable.

3. Scope of Services
Services may include:
Art Direction & Creative Direction – concept, moodboards, storytelling.
Styling – wardrobe curation, fittings, on-set styling.
Production – coordination, crew management, scheduling, logistics, permits, vendors.
Content Creation – lookbooks, editorials, campaigns, reels, and social media content.
Specific services and deliverables will be defined in each proposal or invoice.

4. Daily Rates, Overtime & Additional Services
Half day = 4 hours. Full day = 8 hours (including 30 min break).
Overtime beyond the agreed hours is billed per hour at the rate set in the proposal/invoice.
Additional services outside the agreed scope must be confirmed in writing and billed accordingly.
On full-day bookings, the Client must provide meals/refreshments. For location bookings, hotels/meals/transport must be covered.

4d. Recce (Location Reconnaissance)
A recce is recommended at least one week before the shoot to confirm logistics, light, tides, facilities, and safety.
Recce services are billed separately at the agreed rate plus travel expenses.
If a recce is declined, the Creative Director/Art Director/Producer is not responsible for issues that could have been identified in advance.

5. Payment Terms
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm bookings.
The balance must be paid within 72 hours of the shoot date, unless otherwise agreed.
Deliverables may be withheld until full payment is received.
Late payments may incur 2% monthly interest.
5a. Full Production Services
For Full Production packages, 100% payment upfront is required before any work commences.
This payment secures all bookings, vendors, and deliverables, and is non-refundable.

6. Timelines & Delivery
A production schedule and delivery timeline will be agreed at the start of the project.
The Client must provide timely approvals, products, and feedback.
Scope changes will require new timelines and may incur additional costs.
The Stylist/Creative Director is not liable for delays caused by weather, tides, lateness, third-party issues, or other unforeseen factors.

7. Weather & Force Majeure
If weather prevents a shoot before leaving base location, the shoot may be rescheduled without penalty.
If the team has already arrived on set, the day must be paid in full.
Both parties will work in good faith to reschedule.
Natural disasters, government restrictions, or other force majeure events relieve liability except for costs already incurred.

9. Wardrobe, Samples & Returns
The Client must cover all budgets for wardrobe, samples, or rentals. This is not taken from the deposit and must be paid upfront.
The Client is responsible for safe care and return of borrowed/loaned samples, though the Stylist/Creative Director can facilitate where possible.
Any loss, theft, or damage must be reimbursed in full within 48 hours.
Any dry cleaning/cleaning expenses to restore items will be billed to the Client.

9a. Brand-to-Brand Collaborations (Styling)
The Stylist/Creative Director may source items from collaborating brands.
All borrowed items remain the property of the lending brand and must be returned in original condition.
The Client is responsible for care and return of these items.
Proper credits must be given as directed.
Usage of borrowed items is limited to the agreed project only.
If styling pieces or collaborations are brought to set, the Client may not copy, reproduce, or request to replicate them.

9b. Range Plan, Styling Notes & Fittings
The Client must provide a range plan and styling notes at the start of the project, including all products.
A fitting session is strongly recommended.
If the Client fails to provide range/styling notes or declines a fitting, the Stylist/Creative Director is not responsible for incorrect styling or product presentation on set.

10. Client Responsibilities
10a. Model Selection
The Client is solely responsible for selecting models that align with brand aesthetics, customer profile, and aspirations.
The Stylist/Creative Director accepts no responsibility for final selection outcomes.
10b. Team & Location Selection
The Client is responsible for selecting the creative team and locations.
The Creative Director/Art Director/Producer/Stylist may recommend, but decisions rest with the Client.
No liability is accepted if the Client is dissatisfied with results of their choices.
10c. Time Estimates & Delays
Timelines are good-faith estimates only.
The Creative Director/Art Director/Producer/Stylist is not liable for delays caused by weather, tides, lateness, team performance, technical issues, or unforeseen factors.
Extra time will be billed at agreed rates.
10d. Professional Conduct
The Client must act professionally and respectfully before, during, and after the shoot.
If the Client behaves disrespectfully, aggressively, abusively, or violently, the Stylist/Creative Director and crew may leave immediately.
In such cases, the full agreed fee remains payable.
10e. Product Delivery & Import Responsibilities
The Client must ensure all products are delivered on time and in advance of the shoot.
The Stylist/Creative Director is not liable for rescheduling costs caused by late product delivery.
Shoot fees remain payable in full if products do not arrive.
The Client is solely responsible for import duties, taxes, and customs clearance.
The Stylist/Creative Director is not liable for delays or cancellations due to unpaid import fees.

11. Damages, Loss & Insurance
The Client is responsible for any damage, loss, theft, or required cleaning of wardrobe, props, or items belonging to brands, third parties, or the Stylist.
The Stylist/Creative Director is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property belonging to the Client, models, or crew.
The Client must arrange insurance to cover wardrobe, props, and equipment.

12. Deliverables & Credits
Ownership of creative work remains with the Creative Director/Art Director/Producer/Stylist unless otherwise agreed.
The Client receives a license for use of deliverables as defined in the agreement.
The Client must credit May Cortazzi @maycortazzi and relevant role as– Creative Director/Art Director/Producer/Stylist in all published work.

14a. No Guarantee of Results
The Creative Director/Art Director/Producer/Stylist makes no guarantees about the success of the Client’s brand, sales, or personal achievements.
Services are delivered to the best of professional ability but outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

14b. Professional Boundaries
Services are strictly in Creative Director/Art Director/Producer/Stylist
The Stylist/Creative Director is not a therapist or counsellor.
All guidance is provided in a professional creative context only.

17. Working Hours & Communication
Standard working hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm.
Preferred contact: email, WhatsApp, phone calls.
Up to two face-to-face meetings included per project (briefing + fittings).
Additional in-person meetings are billable.

18. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Indonesia.
Any disputes will be resolved under Indonesian jurisdiction.
