These terms and conditions are incorporated into all bookings (whether made online, by telephone, by email, in person or any other method) and all agreements for the provision of services by May Cortazzi.
Fully- licensed
May Cortazzi is a fully licensed art director and stylist in Bali, Indonesia with an artist Kitas which permits her to work with any client (International and local) within any location across Indonesia. A copy of her legal certificates can be provided on request, should any issues occur with Indonesian immigration during shoots or creative projects, with those who do not have a legal work permit or kitas, she will not be deemed responsible and cancellation or rescheduling rates will be applied.
It is the client who is responsible for ensuring that all of the people and organisations which are engaged by the client in relation to the delivery of the services are suitably legal, qualified, experienced and professional.
Payment terms
Payment for art direction or fashion styling projects must be made upon booking. A deposit of 50% upfront is to be made to secure your date and the remaining 50% within 72 hours of completion of the shoot or show, unless otherwise agreed.
Deposits are to secure the appointment and are non-refundable, If an appointment is cancelled less than 7 days before the shoot or project it will be forfeited.
Provisional bookings without a deposit can be automatically cancelled if they are not confirmed within 24 hours of the proposed booking or definitive/confirmed booking is offered and provisional cannot be confirmed.
Daily/hourly rate
Booking fees are charged by the full day of 8 hours (including a 30min lunch) with meals and refreshments provided or half day at 4 hours.
Over time rates apply at any time in excess of any 8 hour period and will be charged at x1.5 per hour for the next 3 hours and X2 per hour exceeding this.
Clients are responsible for food and refreshments on set for full day bookings.
Clients are responsible for the provision of all hotels, meals and beverage requirements of the artists whilst the artists are providing services to the client on all location bookings.
Styling facilities
May Cortazzi has a full styling kit which includes steamers, hangers, waterproof garment bag, rails and a portable changing room. All can be available on request.
It is the clients responsibility to provide May Cortazzi and her team with an appropriate changing and dressing area, electrical sources to ensure that the artist can prepare for the provision of the services and also maintains his/her privacy.
Wardrobe and props budget
Wardrobe and Props Budget, and any additional up-front costs, to be paid to Contractor prior to commencement of Service, the deposit is not to be used within this budget.
On completion of Service, Contractor will provide supporting receipts and return any unused cost within the Wardrobe and Props budget to Client if applicable.
Returning samples or prototypes
All Samples or props must be returned or collected within 48 hours of the shoot or project.
Samples or props that are not collected from Contractor within 3 months of the date of Service, will become property of Contractor to discard or donate as necessary.
Brand to brand collaborations
Brand to brand collaborations must be credited online and copies of all deliverables must be distributed to all collaborators.
The client agrees not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the brand collaboration service.
Any samples on loan for the purpose of the Service, are liable by Client if damaged or deemed un-returnable due to their involvement in the Service.
Cancellation
Any art direction or styling Preparation already completed by Contractor at point of change or cancellation - regardless of time frame - is payable in full, along with the full Returns Day cost.
A minimum of 7 days, notice is required for any full cancellation. You are entitled to a full refund for any cancellation made over 7 days minus 12% cancellation fee.
Postponement & rescheduling policy
May Cortazzi has a 48hr postponement policy before a project or shoot.
If you wish to reschedule to a new booking date you must give 7 days, notice before the appointment is due to start, unless an availability is made available to you. If we can agree on an alternative future date any payment will be transferred to the rescheduled appointment but cannot be refunded.
If you request rescheduling with notice less than 7 days a admin fee of $50 may be applied.
In the event that a client does not show for a scheduled appointment, the client will be invoiced for the booked appointment.
Weather related cancellations
If the client fails to cancel in time to prevent the artist’s attendance, half the booking fee (deposit) is charged and payable by the client.
On the occasion of the second cancellation and any subsequent cancellations the full booking fee is charged and payable by the client.
Discontinue the Service
We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time.
We shall not be liable to Client or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.
Prices for our Services are subject to change without notice.
Travel
Travel time will be charged at 50% of agreed day rate for travel time outside of 1hour of head office, all to be negotiated when booking the artist.
Health and safety
The clients shall ensure that the artist is treated with respect and professionalism and that the client takes all steps necessary to ensure that the safety, health and well being of the artist is protected and maintained at all times whilst providing services to the client. Such steps shall include without limitation:
a) ensuring that the venue for the provision of the services and the working conditions are safe and secure and allow the artist to provide the services in compliance with all health and safety standards, regulations, codes and laws;
b) allowing the artist to take suitable and regular rest periods, to ensure the artist is able to maintain suitable amounts of rest and refreshment whilst delivering the services;
c) providing adequate levels of insurance cover to safeguard the health and safety and future earnings of the artist whilst the artist is delivering the services and travelling to and from the client’s venue as if he/she were an employee of the client;
d) ensuring that no one imposes upon the artist any action or activity which is either dangerous, degrading, unprofessional or demeaning to the artist;
Confidentiality
May Cortazzi will keep any imagery and films by creative team confidential and will not disclose to any third parties or make use of material or information communicated to him/her in confidence till the project goes live.
Rights to credits
Credits will be provided after the shoot is finished, always include a credit as Art Direction & Styling by May Cortazzi or Fashion Styling by May Cortazzi @maycortazzi”, wherever a credit is applied.
Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in or arising out of or in connection with our services (other than intellectual property rights in any materials provided by you) are and shall be owned by May Cortazzi. You may not copy any of the creative treatments we provide you or any part of them, unless agreed otherwise through written permission.
You may not use or exploit the creative treatments we provide you or any part of them or our Creative Direction process or any part of it for any commercial purpose. These are for personal use only!
